Verne Anderson is a lifelong resident of Minneapolis. He holds an M.A. in Art Education from the University of Minnesota and an undergraduate degree in studio art.
Anderson has studied with Walter Quirt, Cameron Booth, Malcolm Meyers, and, most recently, David Feinberg.
His paintings, illustrations, and wood block prints have appeared in many publications and have been shown in galleries from Minnesota to New York City, including the Minneapolis Institute of Art (biennials) and the Minnesota State Fair (where they have received awards).
Anderson has worked in the set design and prop departments at the Children’s Theatre Company of Minneapolis as well as at the Science Museum of Minnesota as an illustrator. He is retired from teaching art in the public schools in Hopkins, Minnesota, and now maintains a studio in St. Paul.
